Tell Them What You're Going to Tell Them

Tell them what you're going to tell them.  Remember to put the main points of your letter or email in the "subject" line.  Do not assume that folks are waiting breathlessly to read your every word; they want to know up-.front why you are writing.  "Target Your Professional Growth"

  1. I'd go further than that:

Tell them what you're going to tell them. Then tell them something. Finally, tell them what you've told them.

Of course, subject lines are notoriously hard to get right. They need to be short and enticing enough to get the reader to click on your email without sounding too salesy. There's a fine line between something that gets read and something that finds itself in the trash or the junk folder.

  2. Admiring the time and effort you put into your blog and detailed information you offer!..
